How do I know which air compressor to buy?
- First, you need to determine what types of tasks or jobs you will perform. A number of jobs such as inflating, spray painting, applying spray foam insulation, and sanding require various sizes of air compressors and tank sizes.
- Second, determine which types of pneumatic tools you will us. Different tools require different air pressure and volume (CFM) to operate properly. Choose an air compressor with higher air volume output (CFM) than the tools that will be used.
- Third, determine if the tool load will be used for light or intermittent duty or for continuous, heavy duty. The heavier the usage, the larger the air compressor and air tank size (in gallons) needs to be.
- Finally, determine the electrical power you have available.
- We advise our customers not to under buy, in order to save money, because it’s always better to have a little more air than needed.
How much oil should be in my pump?
Our units have a sight glass and the oil should be in the middle of the sight glass.
Is there a “break in” run time for the oil in the pump post installation?
yes, the factory oil its good only for 8 hours, then should be changed after 40 hours then every 200 hours..
How often should I drain my tank?
Will my air compressor be set at the maximum operating pressure?
Production units are not always set at the maximum operating pressure from the factory. However, most units can be field adjusted to the desired pressure. NEVER adjust the pressure above the Rated or Maximum Operating Pressure.
Can I purchase an extended warranty?
At this time, extended warranties are not available. Be sure to watch for them in the future, though!
Should i use aftermarket parts for my air compressor ?
No, if you use aftermarket parts your warranty will be voided, and not showing proof of not using original parts your warranty will be voided. Always use original parts.
How often should i change the oil on my piston air compressor ?
On piston air compressor you should change every 200 hours.
What is a rotary air compressor?
A rotary-screw compressor is a type of gas compressor that uses a rotary-type positive-displacement mechanism. They are commonly used to replace piston compressors where large volumes of high-pressure air are needed, either for large industrial applications or to operate high-power airtools such as jackhammers.
